My Story
Doll Avant is an award-winning inventor, data scientist, graduate of Harvard University, & TEDx speaker. An internationally recognized expert on water quality, climate change, and environmental justice, Doll is a motivational speaker, an educator, and the Founder & CEO of Aquagenuity, the “Google Search for water quality," and has raised over $2 million from Softbank, Google and Amazon. Doll was honored by Google with the global designation of “Google's Woman of Water” and featured on Google's homepage for building the “world’s largest water database.” Doll has been featured by Forbes, The New York Times, Reuters, TechCrunch, and WIRED Magazine.
Doll was named a Global Impact Fellow by Singularity at NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley; she has also received awards for entrepreneurship and technology innovation from JP Morgan, Coca-Cola, BMW, and Ocean Visions (a collaborative of MIT, Stanford, Georgia Tech, Georgia Aquarium, the Smithsonian, and the United Nations). Doll graduated with honors from Harvard University, where she studied under Dr. Cornel West and Dr. Henry Louis Gates to receive an A.B. in Afro-American History with a focus in Economics. Doll also studied Data Analytics at Harvard Business School, and a micromasters in Statistics and Data Science from MIT.
Doll is the creator of Guardians of H2O, an international STEM initiative launched with Georgia Aquarium (the world’s largest) that teaches school age children how to become innovators and protectors of the planet. Doll serves on the board of the Captain Planet Foundation, and is also a co-creator and managing partner of Young Ideas, a leadership institute created in partnership with former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young and fueled by a multibillion dollar hedge fund directed at social impact initiatives in the United States and Africa.
