WORK EXPERIENCE

Business Analysis/College of Ed Graduate Teacher

Georgia State University Jan 2020 – August 2021

  • Responsible for instructing and creating lesson plans for 100+ undergraduate business students with the goal of highlighting course required information

  • Conducts student engagement research and collaborates with colleagues to create real-world models to emphasize the usefulness and importance of class lesson plans, applied methods, and data analysis tools

  • More than doubled overall percentage of students with passing grades from below 40% to over 80% Founder and Business/Finance Consultant

Karaya Consulting Dec 2017 - Present

  • Founded Karaya Consulting to provide personalized budget and debt management, small business development, and data information counseling to help others achieve personal goals and dreams

  • Business consulting that includes but is not limited to web design, social media management/optimization, facebook ad management, creating online courses and developing pitch decks for investors.

  • Hosts multiple workshops, offers in-depth financial counseling sessions and tutorials with spotlight guests and industry professionals, and leverages own entrepreneurial experience to better serve clients

 

Chairman of Fee Allocation Committee Georgia State University Jan 2015 - Jan 2018

  • Managed the allocation and use of student activity funds as an advisory board member to the President of Georgia State University

  • Led budget meetings and developed annual budget forecasts by collecting and reviewing the revenues and expenditures of university sponsored organizations, preparing comparison analysis of operating programs, and analyzing costs in relation to services performed for students

  • Reworked university’s budget to eliminate unnecessary costs and allocate more funding to events, experiences, and organizations that better served the needs and wants of students

Pharmacy Technician and Supervisor The Kroger Co. | Kaiser Permanente Sept 2014 - May 2017 | Mar 2017 - Jul 2018

  • Served as Pharmacy Technician Supervisor for Kroger before joining Kaiser Permanente to further expand knowledge through facing new challenges and experiences in a progressively larger medical environment

  • Assisted departments in receiving and organizing stock (medications, chemicals, and general supplies), preparing and processing medical insurance claims, establishing and maintaining patient profiles, and communicating between multiple parties (patients, doctors, pharmacies, and insurance companies)

  • Implemented pharmacy’s quality assurance and control program as stated by HIPAA/OSHA and State Board of Pharmacy, assisted multiple technicians in obtaining proper licenses and certifications, and helped home locations lead district in customer service metrics Medical Fellow and

 

Hospital Intern Atlantis Project June 2016 - July 2016

  • Shadowed surgeons and medical leads in multiple departments to apply traditional book studies to first-hand observations and hands-on training in the medical field

  • Attended clinical rotations in over 10 departments and assisted with general procedures such as conducting formal diagnoses, catheterization, and biopsies and intubation under direction of attending physicians

  • Learned Greek through connecting with doctors and educators in Europe, awarded the title of the Atlantis Project Brand Ambassador, and assisted like-minded students in obtaining information and scholarships to participate in program

 

Information Technology Intern Generation Mortgage LLC June 2015 - July 2015

  • Served as an intern tasked with heading and improving company’s quality assurance program, addressing company’s outdated processes and policies, and identifying security risks

  • Evaluated end-user problems and efficiency concerns through use of test scripts, onsite evaluations, and internal audits to offer actionable recommendations

  • Streamlined company’s support action efforts, improved the help desk ticketing process, and implemented new data software and security protocols
