Dr. M. Chris Gibbons

Founder and CEO of The Greystone Group

Dr. M. Chris Gibbons is the Founder and CEO of The Greystone Group, a digital health transformation and innovation firm that has been helping health sector clients understand and transform from health systems into thriving digital health enterprises. Dr. Gibbons is also an Asst. Professor (Adj) at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Visiting Professor at Duke University School of Medicine.

Previously, for 15 years Dr. Gibbons was an Associate Director of the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute where he led the institute’s community health Initiatives. He was also an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Public Health and Health Informatics at Johns Hopkins University where his research

interests focused on exploring the use of digital technologies to improve the health of disadvantaged and underserved populations. As such, Dr. Gibbons is a Healthcare Disparities, Urban/Community Health and Digital Health Technology expert. He has been named a Health Disparities Scholar by the National Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

He is a published authority and international speaker who has authored over 75 books, book chapters, research manuscripts, monographs and technical reports. Dr. Gibbons is an advisor and expert consultant to both government agencies and private industry alike. Dr. Gibbons obtained his

medical degree from the University of Alabama and then completed residency training in Preventive Medicine, a General Surgery fellowship, molecular neuroncology basic science research training and earned a Master of Public Health degree focusing on health promotion among urban and disadvantaged populations, all from Johns Hopkins University Schools of Medicine and the Bloomberg School of Public Health.

He also completed a Federal Health Policy Fellowship at the Health Services and Resources Administration (HRSA) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the United States Department of Health and Huan Services, of the US Federal government.
