Michael Kwesi Ofori, popularly known in Ghana as "The General", transition to be with the ancestors on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Michael Ofori was a Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist, widely known as the ‘godson and mentee’ of billionaire businessman Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong.

Investor Hub, a company he founded in 2018, to connect African businesses with foreign investors and vice versa. He also founded  Ardent HR Solutions in March 2024, a firm dedicated to providing top notch HR Solutions to enable companies attain their overall objectives and targets. He was also on the Board of Directors for a number of Companies and Chambers including a Board Member of the Chamber of Cannabis Industry, Ghana and is the Country Representative for Engineers Trend CO. Ltd. Michael also co-owned a State of the Art Uniform and Textile Factory with his partners from Malta, the factory produces apparel for Airlines, Hospitals, Schools, The Hospitality Industry and many more.

Mr. Ofori was awarded as part of the Top 50 Young CEOs in Ghana three times in a row for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. He was also was given a Citation of Honour by the Young Achievers Awards for his outstanding contribution to Youth and Development in addition to that, in 2020, he was awarded in Abuja, Nigeria by the Papyrus Magazine Awards for Attraction of Investors into Africa. He was awarded by the Papyrus Magazine African Excellence Awards, as the Emerging Leader in Foreign Direct Investment into Africa. In 2021, Ghana’s premier University, University of Ghana, Honoured Mr. Ofori with a Citation for his Contribution to Youth and National Development. The Prestigious My Story Magazine has selected Mr. Ofori as part of the Top 15 Young Ghanaian Entrepreneurs changing the narratives.

 

Michael Kwesi Ofori was presented with a Special Business Leadership Excellence Award at the African Leadership Organization Forum, 2022, held in Abuja, Nigeria. The Award was presented by a high-powered delegation from United States of America led by the President of the US National Bar Association, Judge Carlos Moore. He was also been listed as a recipient of the very Prestigious President’s Award presented by the US National Bar Association, in Memphis, Tennessee. The award was presented in recognition of his efforts to promote fruitful business relationships between Americans and the viable opportunities that abound in Africa. In October 2022, he was nominated by the prestigious 40 under 40 Awards under the Investment

Consultancy and Finance category and emerged winner. He was selected as one of 100 Most Influential Young Africans, 2022. In June 2023, Mr. Ofori was awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor of Philosophy) in Business Administration by the Prestigious Prowess University, Delaware USA during the Africa CEOs Under 40 Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya Michael is a staunch Christian who believed that it was the Grace of God that kept him going stronger and stronger in life.

In March 2025, Harvard University invited Michael to moderate the Investment, Sovereign Wealth and Economic Growth Panel at this year’s African Development Conference.

He attended LightHouse Chapel International and headed the Fellowship of Christian Business People & Professionals in his branch. Michael was also a philanthropist who believed in giving back to society as such was engaged in many donation activities especially during the difficult COVID times. Michael Kwesi Ofori believed that each and every one can excel in his or her field provided we are really passionate at what we do and put in adequate efforts, be truthful to ourselves and our clients and let God direct our paths.

 

Michael Kwesi Ofori was very passionate about the cause of Humanity and very keen on giving back to the society. Michael led Investor Hub to make several donations in Ghana and some parts of West Africa. The company made several donations to orphanages, hospitals, schools, the aged and disabled, street children and many under privileged groups of people under his leadership. The company also offered internships to students across several Universities and Senior High Schools in the country and enable them develop clear career paths after school.
