In the near future, time travel tourism allows vacationers to travel back in time to experience moments of historical significance. When mild-mannered Frank visits a time travel agency to inquire about a trip, he is offered the “ultimate” thrill - an opportunity to go back in time to participate in a murder. But what was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime turns into an unimaginable nightmare, with only one way out…

Tumushimishe Yves is a Rwandese filmmaker whose creative journey is rooted in his personal history.

Born in the aftermath of the 1994 Tutsi genocide, Tumushimishe's commitment to storytelling stems from a desire to explore themes of justice and unity, through cinema.

His passion for filmmaking started when his family relocated to Kigali, where he found solace and expression in the art of cinema. Tumushimishe pursued his education at Iprc Kigali in Digital Media Production, earning his A1 degree and graduating in January 2024. Before this, he obtained his high school diploma in Electronics and telecommunication in 2018.

Tumushimishe's journey as a filmmaker is marked by his experiences. He has served as an Editor, assistant director, and director for various web series, including the nationally televised "Matayo High School" and the popular "Subu Comedy", which gained over 7 million views on YouTube. His involvement in web comedy skit projects like "Rutambi Comedy" and "Subu Comedy" showcased his versatility, as he not only acted but also contributed as a writer, editor, and director.

In 2020, Tumushimishe's talent was recognized with nominations at the Rwanda International Movies Awards for his work on Muzhe Kevin, Matayo High School, and Subu Comedy.

However, it was in 2024 that he made a significant mark on the international stage with his directorial debut, "Once Upon a Murder". This sci-fi short film earned him the Rwanda International Student Award for Best Director of the Year.

Tumushimishe Yves continues to push boundaries and tell compelling stories that resonate with audiences worldwide. His commitment to his craft and his unique perspective make him a rising star in the global film industry.
