    1. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to improve regional and global African trade-integration and cross-border commerce, along with addressing policy and infrastructure barriers to free trade. 

    2. The Comprehensive Africa Agricultural Development Program (CAADP) to develop resilient and sustainable agricultural systems to achieve food security through increased investment in agro-industries and sustainable practices. 

    3. The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) which is the AU’s presidential-level agency – comprised of 44 member-nations – that monitors Agenda 2063 and conducts Review Reports of nations, containing slated recommendations to improve African governance and socioeconomic productivity.

  2. Promoting agri-tech solutions and value and supply chain development.

  1. Building ecosystems for startups and SMEs to thrive across both regions.

  2. Showcasing success stories of Diaspora-led enterprises.

  3. Matchmaking Diaspora and local enterprises that encourage optimization in yields and standards through investment, training and certification programs.

  1. Education, Workforce Development, and Capacity Building

  1. Enhancing workforce readiness through partnerships between Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and African universities in knowledge and experience sharing programs.

  2. Upskilling initiatives aligned with U.S. Education priorities and the AU’s Continental Education Strategy.

  1. Advance Women, Youth, Peace & Security Initiatives: 

    1. Explore platforms for capacity building programs to meaningfully improve the livelihoods of women, children and families in both the Diaspora, African and Caribbean communities

Saturday, September 20, 2025

Scheduled roundtables, workshops and business-to-business commercial meetings will provide opportunities to project the specific concerns of stakeholders in various areas of competencies to facilitate comprehensive and contradictory discussions in diverse categories of government, inter government, nongovernmental, multinational private businesses and civil society for harmonized dialogue via the following activities:

  1. Discussions among leaders of government, industry, and academia on strategic collaboration.

  2. Outcome-oriented deliberations to formulate actionable recommendations.

  1. Breakout Sessions and Workshops

  1. Specialized discussions on AGOA operationalization, AfCFTA implementation, and CAADP opportunities.
